Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and restrictions for using Pineapple Proxy services (the "Service"). All users, including free and paid subscribers, must comply with this AUP. This AUP is an integral part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
Important: Pineapple Proxy is a technology infrastructure provider that delivers proxy lists, proxy validation data, and related API services. We do not operate or control the proxy servers listed through our Service, do not monitor or inspect traffic passing through those proxies, and are not responsible for how users employ the proxies we list. This AUP describes the standards we expect from our users, but we assume no obligation to enforce this AUP against any user or third party, and we expressly reserve the right to take or decline enforcement action in our sole discretion.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service — including any data, API access, or proxy information obtained through the Service — to engage in, facilitate, assist, or encourage any of the following activities:
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations, including laws of the jurisdictions where you, your targets, or your traffic endpoints are located
- Accessing, viewing, distributing, producing, or storing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors
- Fraud, phishing, impersonation of individuals, organizations, or government entities
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or any financial crime
- Violation of export control laws, trade sanctions, or embargoes administered by the United States, European Union, United Nations, or other relevant authorities
- Human trafficking, sale of illegal goods, or promotion of illegal services
2.2 Network Attacks and Infrastructure Abuse
- Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or any coordinated flooding of target systems
- Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing of third-party systems without explicit written authorization from the system owner
- Transmission, distribution, or hosting of malware, viruses, ransomware, trojans, worms, spyware, or any other malicious code
- Operation of, participation in, or contribution to botnet infrastructure or command-and-control networks
- Unauthorized interception, monitoring, or manipulation of network traffic
- ARP spoofing, DNS poisoning, BGP hijacking, or any network-layer attack
- Any activity that causes harm, degradation, or disruption to our infrastructure, the Internet, or any third-party network or system
2.3 Authentication and Account Abuse
- Credential stuffing: automated testing of stolen, leaked, or purchased credentials against websites or services
- Brute-force attacks on authentication systems, password fields, or API endpoints
- Bypassing, circumventing, or defeating authentication, authorization, or access control mechanisms
- Account takeover attempts or unauthorized access to any system or account
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, free tier restrictions, or bans
2.4 Intellectual Property Violations
- Copyright infringement, including mass downloading, reproduction, or distribution of copyrighted works without authorization
- Distribution of pirated software, media, e-books, or other protected content
- Trademark infringement, counterfeiting, or sale of counterfeit goods
- Circumventing technological protection measures, including digital rights management (DRM), copy protection, or access controls
- Scraping, crawling, or harvesting content in violation of applicable terms of service, robots.txt directives, or copyright law
2.5 Harassment, Harm, and Abusive Conduct
- Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or threats directed at individuals
- Doxxing: publishing private, personally identifiable information without consent
- Hate speech, incitement to violence, or promotion of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or commercial advertising (where prohibited by the recipient's jurisdiction)
- Cyberbullying, online mob harassment, or coordinated abusive campaigns
2.6 Service Abuse
- Systematically exceeding rate limits in a manner that degrades the Service for other users or triggers abuse detection systems
- Attempting to circumvent usage quotas, billing mechanisms, or payment obligations
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive source code or algorithms from the Service
- Using automated tools, scripts, or bots to create accounts, harvest proxy data, or abuse the free tier beyond reasonable personal use
- Selling, reselling, redistributing, licensing, or sublicensing proxy lists or proxy data obtained from the Service, whether in original or modified form, unless explicitly authorized under a separate written reseller agreement signed by Pineapple Proxy
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service's APIs, servers, or networks
- Accessing the Service through unauthorized means, including modified clients, unauthorized third-party applications, or bypassed access controls
3. Responsible Use Recommendations
While these are not contractual obligations, we encourage all users to follow these best practices when using proxies:
- Respect robots.txt: Honor the robots exclusion standard and website terms of service when accessing third-party websites.
- Implement rate limiting: Add reasonable delays between requests to avoid overwhelming target servers. Mimic human browsing patterns.
- Set proper User-Agent headers: Identify your automated requests with a descriptive User-Agent string that includes your project name and a contact method.
- Honor 429 and 503 responses: Implement exponential backoff when a server returns rate-limit or overload status codes.
- Avoid scraping private or login-protected data: Only access publicly available information that you have a legal right to access.
- Know the law: Consult qualified legal counsel about the legality of your intended use of proxies in all relevant jurisdictions before using the Service.
4. Enforcement
We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. Enforcement is at our sole and absolute discretion. We may choose to enforce or not enforce this AUP, in whole or in part, against any user, and our failure to enforce in one instance shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce in another.
Where we choose to take enforcement action, we may, at our sole discretion:
- Issue a warning to you via email or through the Service
- Suspend or limit your access to the Service temporarily or permanently
- Terminate your account immediately without refund or compensation
- Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement authorities
- Take technical measures to block or restrict your access to the Service
- Pursue any other remedies available to us at law or in equity
We may cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities, regulatory bodies, and court orders, and may disclose information about your use of the Service as required or permitted by applicable law.
5. Reporting Violations
To report a suspected violation of this AUP, contact us at abuse@pproxy.tech or through our contact page. Please include as much detail as possible, including:
- Timestamps of the suspected violation (with timezone)
- IP addresses involved
- A detailed description of the activity you observed
- Any supporting evidence (logs, screenshots, error messages)
- Your contact information for follow-up
We review all reports but are not obligated to respond to or act upon every report.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP. If you do not agree with the updated AUP, you must stop using the Service.
